A.C.E. Institute at Kravis Center for the Performing Arts

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will host the inaugural A.C.E. Institute Showcase featuring talented students from Conniston Community Middle School in West Palm Beach. This free, ticketed showcase (Lights...Camera...A.C.E.!) will be held at the Kravis Center's outdoor Gosman Amphitheatre on Friday, September 30, 8 p.m.
The A.C.E. (Arts Can Empower) Institute is an intensive summer and afterschool enrichment program for economically disadvantaged students, in grades 6-8, enrolled at Conniston Community Middle School (a Title One, IB World school), which is located at 3630 Parker Avenue in West Palm Beach.
"The main objective of this program is to offer students the opportunity to work with local, professional Teaching Artists to learn new skills in the areas of theatrical design and production and art forms such as spoken word poetry, dance, percussion, theatre and visual art," said Tracy C. Butler, the Kravis Center's Director of Education.

Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, which features the songs from the classic family film "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." The memorable score features “The Candy Man”, “Pure Imagination”, “Oompa Loompa” and ”I Want it Now” by Academy® and Grammy® award winners Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.
