A.C.E. Institute at Kravis Center for the Performing Arts

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will host the inaugural A.C.E. Institute Showcase featuring talented students from Conniston Community Middle School in West Palm Beach. This free, ticketed showcase (Lights...Camera...A.C.E.!) will be held at the Kravis Center's outdoor Gosman Amphitheatre on Friday, September 30, 8 p.m. 

The A.C.E. (Arts Can Empower) Institute is an intensive summer and afterschool enrichment program for economically disadvantaged students, in grades 6-8, enrolled at Conniston Community Middle School (a Title One, IB World school), which is located at 3630 Parker Avenue in West Palm Beach. 

"The main objective of this program is to offer students the opportunity to work with local, professional Teaching Artists to learn new skills in the areas of theatrical design and production and art forms such as spoken word poetry, dance, percussion, theatre and visual art," said Tracy C. Butler, the Kravis Center's Director of Education.

The memorable score features “The Candy Man”, “Pure Imagination”, “Oompa Loompa” and ”I Want it Now” by Academy® and Grammy® award winners Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.

"Building 823" - May 27-30, 2012


"Building 823" is a live walk-through experience. It takes about an hour to walk through. The experience includes various scenes that re-enact the stories of real families in Belle Glade, Florida. The event exists in order to raise awareness about the situation in the under-served communities in America and also provide viewers with opportunities to do something about it. 

Building 823 is based on Psalm 82:3:
"Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and the oppressed."

  "BUILDING 823":

Event will benefit the under-served, abused, and victimized and to raise awareness and attract volunteers for the non-profit organizations that help them.
